How to Reconstitute Peptides
Step-by-step guide to safely and effectively dissolving lyophilized peptides.

Example: 5mg + 2ml BAC water = 2500mcg/ml → 0.1ml per syringe = 250mcg
Step-by-step process
Gather your materials
Bacteriostatic water (BAC water), insulin syringes (0.5ml or 1ml), alcohol wipes, and the lyophilized peptide vial.
Bring to room temperature
Allow both the peptide vial and bacteriostatic water to reach room temperature before combining. This protects the peptide structure.
Clean vial tops
Wipe the top of the peptide vial and BAC water vial with alcohol wipes. Allow to air dry.
Draw the bacteriostatic water
Using a clean syringe, draw the volume of bacteriostatic water you need. The volume determines the final concentration.
Inject water slowly
Insert the needle into the peptide vial and inject the water slowly, letting it drip down the side of the glass (not directly onto the powder). This protects the delicate peptide structure.
Swirl gently — never shake
After adding the liquid, gently swirl the vial between your palms until the powder completely dissolves. Never shake it vigorously.
Refrigerate for 24 hours
Place the reconstituted vial in the refrigerator (2–8°C) for 24 hours before use. This ensures complete dissolution of the peptide.
Label the vial
Write on the vial: peptide name, reconstitution date, volume of BAC water used, and calculated concentration.
Storage Guide

- ✗ Shake the vial vigorously (damages peptide structure)
- ✗ Use sterile water without preservatives (very short shelf life)
- ✗ Repeatedly freeze and thaw reconstituted solution
- ✗ Expose to direct sunlight or excessive heat
