Primary Description
BPC-157 drives angiogenesis and localized tissue repair. TB-500 promotes cell migration and reduces inflammation systemically. Together they create the most researched recovery duo: localized repair plus systemic healing in a single protocol.
Demonstrated Effects
- Tissue Repair
- Anti-Inflammatory
- Angiogenesis
- Cell Migration
Proposed Mechanisms of Action
Combined Mechanism
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound 157) is a 15-amino acid peptide derived from human gastric juice that heals musculoskeletal, tendon, ligament, muscle, and gut tissue via: VEGF upregulation (angiogenesis), activation of FAK-paxillin signaling (tendon-to-bone healing), eNOS pathway modulation (nitric oxide for vasodilation and repair), and upregulation of growth factor receptors (EGF-R, FGFR2). TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4, the active fragment) binds G-actin monomers to prevent their polymerization, maintaining a free actin pool that promotes cytoskeletal remodeling, fibroblast migration, and new extracellular matrix deposition. The mechanisms are complementary: BPC-157 drives vascular and growth factor-mediated repair from outside the cell; TB-500 drives cytoskeletal and migration-mediated repair from within.
